GRIMME Holding
Harvesting success together
As the leading company in the GRIMME Group, GRIMME Holding bundles the interests of the Grimme family of owners at a cross-company level, represents these interests in the various operating companies and ensures a coordinated approach between the companies.
GRIMME Holding is managed by Christoph Grimme, Philipp Grimme and Dr. Michael Tönnies.
The management of GRIMME Holding
The Grimme family is the fourth and fifth generation to manage GRIMME Holding. Franz and Christine Grimme serve on the Supervisory Board as Chairman and Deputy Chairman respectively. Christoph Grimme (with the company since 2016) and Philipp Grimme (with the company since 2019) manage the group of companies as Managing Partners.

Our history
From the forge to the market leader
The company was founded in 1861 in the small town of Damme in Lower Saxony and has been the headquarters of the GRIMME Group ever since. The family and the company have their roots here. The picture from the 1950s shows the old smithy (to the right of the residential building), the first production halls, the sales room for household goods (integrated into the residential building) and agricultural land where vegetables were grown for home consumption until the 1960s. GRIMME also ran an agricultural machinery dealership for Lanz and Deutz tractors, among others.
