Founded in a small town

Founded in a small town

It all started in a small forge in Dianalund. In 1936, Peder Sørensen founded Karsholte Maskinfabrik, initially focused on repairing agricultural tools, machines, and bicycles.

ASA-LIFT - new name of the now international company

1983

ASA-LIFT - new name of the now international company

Recognizing growing interest from international markets, he branded his products as ASA-LIFT. Peder Sørensen renamed it ASA-LIFT after himself and his two partners, both named Asmussen.

From Dianalund to our current address

2001

From Dianalund to our current address

Due to growth, ASA-LIFT needed to move to larger facilities thereby moving the entire company from Dianalund to Sorø in 2001.

Becoming a part of GRIMME

2012

Becoming a part of GRIMME

The German manufacturer GRIMME acquired a 70% majority stake in ASA-LIFT, bringing the company into the GRIMME Group.

Red is the new blue

2018

Red is the new blue

ASA-LIFT’s logo and machinery were rebranded to GRIMME’s signature red color.

New facilities

2019

New facilities

New factory facilities were built, expanding ASA-LIFT’s production area by an additional 12,653 m². This extension supports increased manufacturing capacity, allowing ASA-LIFT to meet growing demands.

Fully owned by GRIMME

2020

Fully owned by GRIMME

The GRIMME Group acquired the remaining 30% of ASA-LIFT, taking full ownership of the company. ASA-LIFT transitions to a production focused company, no longer handling product sales directly.

New CEO

Joas Løvenbalk Lyng takes over as CEO of ASA-LIFT, bringing new leadership to the company as we continue our integration within the GRIMME Group.
