The Role – R&D Design Engineer

We are looking for a hands-on R&D Design Engineer to develop and validate agricultural machinery through end-to-end engineering—from concept design to field validation. You will play a key role in ensuring our machines perform flawlessly under real farming conditions by actively participating in field tests, data analysis, and iterative design improvements. Collaboration with global engineering teams and direct engagement with customers during testing will be critical to your success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead R&D projects from concept to production, with a strong emphasis on field validation and performance optimization.
  • Design and simulate mechanical systems using Siemens NX, ensuring robustness for real-world operating conditions.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute field tests in collaboration with local and international teams (Germany/China), analyzing machine behavior under actual farming scenarios.
  • Collect and evaluate field data to drive design refinements and reliability improvements.
  • Work closely with farmers, dealers, and service teams during on-site testing to gather direct feedback and implement solutions.

Qualification & Skills

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Machinery, or related field.
  • 3+ years of R&D/design experience, preferably in agricultural or heavy machinery.
  • Expertise in Siemens NX & Teamcenter or comparable CAD & PLM systems.
  • Business-fluent English and Mandarin (required); German plus for international collaboration.
  • Willingness to travel to test sites.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic systems and electrical interfaces is advantageous.
